How many of you have been with a cheater that changed his ways?

My fiancé has cheated in the past and just recently cheated again and he says he regrets it all. He said he’s 100% in trying to change and he wants our family together. He called a therapist for couples counseling and we go Monday... I really don’t have high hope that he will change, but I am giving him one last chance to prove he can. I have a strong stance that cheaters never change. I don’t think he will prove that wrong. Has anyone been with someone that stopped cheating for their family or are they all the same?

I feel like I’m going to end up just turning the other cheek and pretending I have no idea he cheats because I love him and want to be with him and have our family together. 😔 he doesn’t treat me bad besides the cheating .... which I guess is pretty stupid of me to say because cheating makes you bad

Edit: his reason is that he didn’t feel loved and that I was treating him poorly... which I was. I was putting him down lately and being mean and not hugging him much or kissing him often. I don’t think that’s any excuse to cheat though. I am getting help for my depression and anxiety which is the main reason I acted that way towards him. I also “got back” at him and cheated with my ex and instantly regret it and knew I made a mistake so I guess I’m no better than him now even though he’s repeatedly done it over the course of a year. I’m disgusting and a piece of shit. 😔

Another edit: he also grew up seeing his father cheat on his mother probably making him believe it’s okay. His mother knows he cheated and was balling her eyes out about what their dad did to her and he started crying. How can he cry for his mother but not cry and feel remorse for what he’s doing to his own family?

We have children together and he takes care of everything, I’ve already asked family to take me in and they can’t. I don’t work. I have no college education. I have no one and no other option, so now what?
