Would this qualify for unemployment?

My job has cut our hours me specifically  12 hours  and they gave us 2 options basically
  
1 be available for any job type to pick up hours and not allowed to say no 
2 use pto or they will allow negative pto 
This is all due to covid!
I live in Nebraska and people are not going to the urgent care so our numbers have dropped they are too scared to get sick so they are avoiding us 
Someone told me I could possibly qualify for partial unemployment  since my hours were cut if I apply for unemployment would my employer find out?    I figured I'd apply and see what happens but on application it asks if  I'm working all available shifts? Technically I'm working all my assigned shifts but I did not choose option 1 I did two and I dont want to use my pto! Because I have 3 kids and I need them for emergencies

Either way, answer honestly! You technically aren’t working all your available hours, imo, so I would say no to be on the safe side. You could get in legal trouble if they think you lied on purpose

U apply for unemployment but in the boxes there is a covid 19 cut off they calculate how many hours u got cut and pay only for these hours so u can claim both ,,,

If they cut your hours, you could qualify. However if you make over a certain amount of money you will not be given an additional UE funds. The amount varies by state

I have done this many times when my hours get cut due to not having the hours to give me. You will still have to actively seek employment and meet all the mandatory requirements each week and make sure you file on time at the end of the work 
When my hours pick up then I get a letter saying I don’t qualify any longer. 
Your job will know but it isn’t saying you don’t work it’s saying your hours are decreased 
Your job is I’ll just have to confirm you work for he hours you work

In my case my caseworker made me apply when i tried to get food stamps. I took a leave of absence up until my maternity leave kicks in the beginning of july. I was kinda upset i had to because i left on my own terms and knew it would get back to my employer. I just told the truth on the application as to why i was even applying because i was told i had too. Weather i would be denied or not. So basically i know i will be denied, but in your case they cut your hours it wasn’t up to you so you should qualify. Just when u do your bi weekly make sure you state any possible earnings offered to you.
