When to get a toddler bed?

My son is going on 15 months and he sleeps in a place and play since the day we brought him home. He’s almost too big for it because he’s so tall. I was wondering when y’all transitioned to a toddler bed? I forgot when I did it for my daughter. 🤦🏻‍♀️

My sons always been a co bed sleeper so I can’t really answer that. But, they do have bed rails that only block half the side of the bed just incase for falls.

It’s best (according to the research I’ve done & professionals I trust) to wait until 3, because it’s developmentally appropriate for them to follow the direction of staying in bed at that age. Before 3 can be difficult for the family & dangerous for the child.

Most cribs have a height limit of 35 inches, so once they reach that it’s time to transition.

My son was 18 months when we transitioned him into a toddler bed.

Our son will be 2 next week and we moved him to a twin sized bed a few days ago.

My son was a little over two when we transferred him to a toddlers bed. He was in a crib though so he has plenty of space. The only reason we did it was because he was jumping from the changing table to the crib. (they're attached)
