For those with animals what’s your view on this

So I have a one year old puppy who has picked up this extreme habit of barking in the middle of the night for absolutely no reason. He has this terrible bark like someone is literally killing him and it wakes up the entire house! I also have a baby coming in 2 weeks (give or take). So the first option was training they said he is bored and likely has to much energy so we now take him on nightly walks about a mile long (he’s smaller and by the end of the walk he’s pretty worn out) but he still does it! So my question

for you is what’s your view on vibration collars or in this case a sound/vibration collar. I am SUPER against shock collars as I think that just is not a humane way to train your dog. So I bought a sound/vibration collar. Thankfully it’s only had to make the sound once and he stopped other then that he hasn’t barked at all (it’s almost like he knows what it does already without it even having to be used) my issue is I feel terrible every night I have to put it on. I feel like he’s uncomfortable and can’t sleep well (even though that’s far from the truth). My question is what’s your viewpoints on it? Here’s a picture of my baby
