Posting videos of acts of kindness online - do you think this is self serving?

🌹C

IMO you display a true act of kindness without wanting anything in return or any recognition.

An example I see ALL the time: donating money or food etc to a homeless person. A lovely thing to do right? But... you have someone film you doing it and later post it to social media.

Imagine being that homeless person and having the lowest point in your life be taken as an opportunity for someone to film you for some likes on instagram. To me, it’s treating them like an exhibition and totally degrading as a human being.

But maybe I’m wrong. Do you think it’s ok to do post about your acts of kindness? Or is it insincere? Or do you think it’s a win win for both parties?
