Christmas Eve First Date

**He and I were married but we divorced then reconciled. But he passed away before we could get remarried. 😞 my first and only marriage, so I still viewed him as my husband. Sorry for the confusion.

I’ve been talking to this guy I met online for a few months. He works a lot and today was one of the few days he had off. He also lives 4 hours away. So we finally decided to meet.

He knew of my late husband, and the ring that his family withheld from me(it’s a LOOONG story, but they did me very wrong and my husband would have been super pissed) But he said he had me a gift and said he didn’t mean to make it awkward but he knew how much my late partner meant to me and he gave me a box and it had an opal ring in it. It’s beautiful. He said he got opal because it is my late husband and also my sons birthstone. 🥰 He reminds me a lot of my late husband and I feel (not trying to get my hopes up) but I truly feel like my husband helped guide us together. He told me that he got it and that no one can take it from me. My heart has felt empty for a couple years and it feels like the emptiness is a lot less empty if that makes sense. We talked for hours at the kitchen table. He was so respectful and respectful of my son. Original plan was to leave my son with my mom, but since everything was closed, my son got to meet him. Idk, if he is willing, I can see a future with this man. He’s also really cute. 😍
