How do you prefer to wash dishes?

I was just curious what other people preferred. I prefer a washcloth while my husband prefers a sponge wand (that holds soap inside). We have a dishwasher, but we dont like using it. Do you and your partner prefer different methods?

In my family we use those thin green scrubby things that are sometimes attached to sponges. Sponges hold lots of particles and bacteria. Even my old home ec teacher said they were the way to go.

we both prefer the dishwasher. i'll wash it myself with a brush if it's only a few dishes, but generally i don't like wasting my time
