Family cars?

Question

We are looking to get a family oriented SUV. I do not want a van. It needs to be spacious and have 3 rows of seating. We are looking mostly at Toyota Highlanders and Hyundai Palisades. 
Anyone have input? We have two kiddos and potentially a third in the future. Lots of car seats!

I have a Nissan Pathfinder and love it. The 3rd row is very spacious and even when it’s up there is still a decent amount of trunk space.

Highlander would be my choice from those 2 for sure! We're a Toyota family lol. If we had had more kids we would have gotten the Highlander.

We have the Hyundai palisade! 3 rows are great, no issues so far. Pricey IMO but worth it

I’m buying my FIL’s Mazda CX-7! It’s super roomy and nice. I have a very small sedan right now that will be a pain for kids, so he offered it up and we’re taking it. I don’t want a car payment and it’s an upgrade from what I have currently, plus it’s safe! Mazda SUV’s are great, reliable cars.

I love my 2020 Chevy traverse. It has awd. Super comfy, has really nice get up (Camaro engine) great turn radius, and extremely safe. They are bigger than the tahoes (which is what we went in to buy) but I’m not sure if they’re bigger than the new tahoes. Before 2020, they definitely are. Gas mileage also isn’t bad. It’s supposed to get 22 mpg in city, but it’s brand new and it takes a while for the engine to break in and be efficient.

When buying a family car I was debating between the highlander and a Honda Pilot. After test driving I went with the pilot. I found it more spacious but while driving seemed more manageable. The Highlander drove more like a truck with more blind spots in my opinion. So test it out and see what you like!
