Buying

20w today, I want to start buying, I keep being told by my mother and mother law to wait for the the baby shower that won’t happen until mid May I’ll be due in July. Not many people are coming , I only have a total of 8 cars coming (drive by shower) and they might not all show up. With that being said I don’t think I’ll be getting a car seat, travel system , swings, bassinet, pack n play ect between those 8 people. They said that’s what a shower is for(gifts) like yeah I understand BUT the longer I put it off the more stingy I will get as far as spending money because I’m saving up for the child AFTER it’s born . I’m not going to want to spend when I get closer to my due date because I didn’t buy enough before . Plus I won’t want to leave my home because of covid when I’m almost due. Some people don’t mind it , waiting and buying what need after, but personally speaking I like to prepared so I don’t have to do it later. I get I won’t know what I’ll receive as far as gifts BUT like I said Can’t expect all my gifts to be expensive and should prepare and buy at least a pack and play and travel system right (stroller,car seat) ?
