Where my stay at home moms at??

Question

I’m a FTM who is adjusting to being a stay at home mom during a pandemic with a 3 month old & My spouse is military so we just moved across the country away from all my friends/family. My car also just broke down so I’m currently stranded at the house 🙈 
Any stay at home moms have any advice on managing everything without going stir crazy? 🤪 I feel like all I do in my free time is cook & clean.

any time I can get out of the house is good going on walks. trips to target or even the grocery store anytime I can see other human beings is nice 😆

Crank some music and dance as often as possible! It's such a mood booster. You can also join virtual yoga classes you can take from home, and coordinate video chats regularly with the family/friends you moved away from. I also randomly send people cards with a traced outline of baby's hand; it's an easy craft and people are stoked to get them.

I stayed home when my twins came home from the NICU for about 2 years. Then i told my husband i wanted to go back to work part time just to get out of the house for my sanity. It was amazing!!! Then a few things happened and i had to quit my Job. So i am now a stay at home mom again. I obviously love staying home with my kids but i feel like i need to just run away sometimes. My husband says he understands (but honestly i don’t think he does at all)
We ended up having a big argument and i told him how i felt and how i needed time to myself, so I began going back to the gym at night 2-3 days a week when my husband comes home from work which gives me my alone time, On the weekends i always run my errands by myself without the family so that gives me extra time for myself. Sometimes when he comes home i take an extra long shower and try and spend extra time in the bathroom doing a facial routine just to feel like me again. 
I don’t have my husband in the military so i don’t know exactly what your going through but maybe when he is home talk to him and try to find something you enjoy and maybe you can do it when he’s not working. Try and hook up with other moms near you especially military moms so when your hubby is away you have friend around that will support you.

I found the FLY lady system around that time for cleaning my house. 
Her website is an outdated mess but her ideas and systems are fabulous.

Like, if someone is watching your baby, you’d leave everything out for them right? So she has some simple systems like leaving out a fresh dish cloth every night for yourself the next day that helped me start taking better care of my house as a way of taking better care of myself. 😊
Mostly, I loved her system of dividing your home into zones and every week deep cleaning a zone over the course of the week so that each month all areas of your home get a deep clean.
She has additional layers to her system for what to do weekly and monthly to maintain your home in terms of laundry, paying bills, organizing/purging, etc.
She has tons of great habits to get into, her emails are helpful and kind, she has a Facebook and does videos that make me smile but kinda wasted my time, she has a free app with customizable lists that I used the heck out of until the system became second nature.

As for social isolation, being a stay at home mom is mentally and emotionally isolating. When your baby is a bit older you can go looking for mommy friends at the park. You can go for stroller walks and try to meet moms with babies that way. You can try enrolling in a mommy and me music class but there’s not much else for littles so young. Library story times gave me lots of mommy friends but who knows when those will start up again, they shut down with covid. Having some “colleagues” to hang out with and do play dates makes all the difference in the world! 💕
