His accent is THICK

We live deep in the south and we were born and raised in the exact same place, went to the same school for 12 years, and have lived here all our lives yet his accent is so much thicker than mine that sometimes when he talks I can’t even understand wth he’s saying! I mean I have an accent too, I notice it, and people from other places point it out, but he speaks full on redneck or something because I legit cannot understand it.

He’ll be like “shanabanana” and I’m like??? Do what? “I am gonna go shave my beard.”

I’m so lost on how we are both born and raised here in the same state, in the same town, and yet his accent is so much thicker.

Now that I think of it his whole family has a thicker accent. It’s funny af that being around them makes the southern accent in my voice pop out more. It’s actually cringey to me
