Was I rude?

So the guy I was sleeping with asked me for my body count and I replied with "It's none of your business."

He replied damn. And I told him that I don't think a guy should ask a girl that, it's like asking a woman for her age. And he said it's not a big deal, that he would tell me his. And I said I wouldn't ask what his body count is cause it's really none of my business.

He still proceeded to tell me he's been with 5 people. And well I honestly don't care unless he's sleeping with all of us at the same time because I wouldn't want an STD.

But was I wrong in the way I responded? I feel like if he would've asked anyone else, a lot of these women would've lied to him anyways. And I also feel that my response kind of makes him think I have a high body count and don't want to share. I mean I don't really care what he thinks but is there a better way to respond or was my response good?
