Has anyone donated handmade:homemade items to children hospital or fire department/police station?

I want to get huge into sewing in 2022, and apart of that I want to donate stuff I found these dolls that seem fairly simple to sew and was thinking of making superhero dolls for the hospital and the stations.

I would make them different skin colors & hair colors. Boy & girl. And even ones with no hair for kids who don’t have any. Any input please & thankyou

Is this better as an idea vs actually doing it. Do you think the stations/hospitals would accept these donations or would they toss them/forget about them?

I think the dolls are adorable but I don’t know what’s allowed in life vs what’s a cute idea (if that makes sense) -I put this in the lifestyle group because it Really don’t know where to ask this question.
