Why won't my 6-7 month old eat real food.

Question

Soo my son has always loved drinking his bottles, always hungry, I really thought he would love food! Especially since both his parents LOVE food lol.
At 4 months he started having fruit and veg purees and I tried him with some farex (rice food stuff) lol, he gagged so hard on farex that he power chucks everything i give it to him. He loves fruit and veg purees but hates custards or meat purees. He will not have a bar of real food either like scrambled eggs or fruit or nothing. Does not like it.. he still doesn't have teeth yet so dunno if that could be why? Why is he like this? Will he stop being fussy??

Maybe give baby led weaning a try, safe finger foods that he can feed himself

It’s takes multiple times of tasting something to get to like it. Baby’s don’t need teeth to eat at all. The gums are very hard and can mash anything.

And make sure you’re giving milk first.

Remember that it takes 4+ times tasting something new before you like it. Especially if it's both a new taste and a new texture. 
Has he been checked for tongue ties?

So the rice cereal if ur still doing that stop. There's no taste and no nutrition value for the baby. As for baby not liking food. Make sure there is no distraction during meal time that baby is focused on the meal so no TV or anything while in the high chair. Next just have sometime with food on the tray not in a bowl...so try with one item yogurt or Mashed bananas on the tray and just encourage baby to touch the food...also keep it to one food item not a few. Keep it to one food for all meals for 5 days and keep track of redness or rash or break out pimples anything that's changed even the slightest because it could mean baby is allergic to that item. My second kid is allergic to some foods and some random foods as it is so we had to get him tested. So it's very important to do this. It takes awhile for baby to learn to eat solid food even from a spoon so by allowing them to play with their food and touch it helps them figure that out and that way u can learn if that food item has to do with just learning to eat or if it could be an allergy problem hope this helps
