Is this normal?

Hi ladies,

Will just get straight to the point. Today is mother's day in Ireland. Second one I get to spend with my baby and my husband. I was hoping we will do something together as a family, go for a walk, playground with the little guy but my husband wants to go to his moms for the whole day... like I don't mind going for an hour or so, she is his mom and sure he wants to wish her happy mothers day but stay there for the whole day...? I'm kind of upset, we have our own family now so I thought that's what people would normally do on such days. Right?
