My midwife is useless! Edit

I’m thinking of canceling my meetings with my midwife. I have newborn twins and one is smaller than the other and isn’t latching well. I was hoping that she’ll give me a hand, tips and all. They needed to be changed (both woke at the same time) and she wanted to measure their temp. and weight them. But she wouldn’t help me!!! She said because of Covid she’d rather not touch babies!!! She had desensitized, gloves on, mask on!! I was thinking, then what the hell do I need you for??? She’s just there jotting down stuff and paid by my insurance! How are your experiences? Should I keep her?

Where I live Midwives are usually there after the birth. They come over almost everyday to check up mama and baby. They are also there as a substitute of a pediatrician and your OB. They should be there to guide you and yes they do help with breastfeeding, latching issues. I didn’t expect her to change nappies, but at least hold my baby to calm him while I’m changing the other. If she’s so afraid to touch babies because of Covid she shouldn’t be doing this job
