Does the age difference matter?

Hey guys! So I just want some opinions on this subject. So I really like this guy. We’ve been friends for about a year now and we’re super close. We live within 3 blocks of each other, our dads work together at the office, we go places together all the time and our our close friends support our relationship . But recently a lot of friends my age have been telling me that the age difference between us is too much. I can’t say I agree with them. We’re 2 years and 3 months apart! That doesn’t seem like that big of a difference. I’m 15 at the moment (soon to be 16) and he’s 18. He loves me a lot and that’s what matters. He respects me and I trust him. He goes out of his way to make sure we spend as much quality time together as possible. (Our parents approve of our relationship but my friends don’t) What do you guys think? What should I say to my friends when they say stuff like “you’re too young for him” or “oh he’s 18! Are you serious? You’ve gotta be kidding me”. (Like I said, only our close friends support our relationship)
