I want to sell my house but i still owe on it..how that works? any breakdown on what to do and not what to do when selling it? thanks!!

Answer

Your bank lender gets paid the remaining balance from the buyer's cash/lender. Then they deduct any taxes, fees, realtor's fees etc. Then whatever surplus is remaining, they cut your check (usually direct deposit). The closing agent/title company handles all of that. We didnt use a realtor so we saved on realtor fees, but we have homebuying/selling experience. We showed the house ourselves, did the negotiation, and just hired a real estate attorney to oversee the contract/closing before signing anything.
