Anxiety worse because of period? Breastfeeding?

4 weeks postpartum and I think my period is coming. Feels like my anxiety has skyrocketed and wondering if it's my menstrual cycle? Because I'm breastfeeding? Because I'm postpartum? Just wondering if anyone else experienced anything similar.

I’ve always been told it can’t really be considered a true period until 6 weeks pp, bleeding can even fully stop and start again and it is still not period (lucky me I basically got my first period right at 6 weeks pp and I was still breastfeeding at the time) but I do have HORRIBLE post partum anxiety even still at 12 weeks, I just have gotten better about talking myself down like when he’s sleeping and im having a meltdown about breathing I try to remind myself “he is breathing, he has very strong lungs, he is peacefully asleep” and stuff like that. If it’s bad enough to where you feel like you can not manage you should contact your doctor and discuss options that can help with treatment but personally expressing the feelings out loud and getting reassurance that everything is ok has helped me a lot
