MIL said I’m selfish for wanting a baby shower

So I’m pregnant with my second baby, due in July and want to have a baby shower the first weekend of June. With my daughter it was right when Covid happened so I wasn’t able to have the baby shower that I wanted, which was already planned out and had to be canceled.  my mother-in-law went out of her way to plan me a drive-through, baby shower and did not include my mom in it at all and it was a surprise. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful that she did that but it would’ve been nice if she included my mom as well, which my daughter was the first grandchild on both sides.  anyway, I want to throw the baby shower that I’ve always wanted because this might be my last baby and I don’t want to miss out on that experience of having my baby shower. Well, when we had told my mother-in-law about it, she sort of seemed he irritated and had made a comment that she was already looking into throwing me a small, family only baby shower. I had no knowledge of her, wanting to plan any baby shower or anything like that so it was a total shocker when she said that because we had no idea. I had told her that I was hiring someone to just do all the set up for me how I want so the only thing we will have to worry about is the extra stuff like food and drinks. Well, she ended up telling her sister that I’m being selfish for wanting a bigger size baby shower. And it’s not even that I’m intentionally making it big. We just have a lot of family on both sides that I would like to include and I would like for a couple of my friends to be there. And it’s also not about getting gifts, I would just like to have all my friends and family with me to celebrate my baby?  it’s just weird that she thought she could start planning me a baby shower without even talking to myself or my boyfriend and then get mad when we tell her we are already planning something.
