Advice/ Thoughts

My husband and I purchased a home in another city where we currently live. We currently live in the same towns as my parents but are moving to the same town as his family. We both came up with this decision together yet my family is upset since I preferred his family over mine. We are moving to a bigger city. I know time heals all but how could I talk with my family so they understand the why of us moving to a bigger city for more job opportunities for us both. We are happy with our decision but still hurt my family feels angry towards it instead of sharing happiness or being proud of this big accomplishment being under 30 and less than a year married and purchasing our forever home.
