It was minor but it annoyed me 😅
So my brother came over for dinner last night, as he does every Tuesday. DH made grilled cheese with bacon. We had bacon that needed used and we’re trying to be money conscious/not waste with the cost of things right now. Something fun. He made 4 sandwiches and put them on a plate on the table. My brother asked if they were for him to have and DH said yes. So he ate 3 and decided he didn’t want the fourth one and threw it away. I didn’t know this as I was doing something with my toddler so I didn’t sit down right away. I asked DH what he was making for dinner because nothing was on the table. He said I made grilled cheese that you guys ate. Ummm. No? DH’s like, you didn’t eat when I put it on the table? I looked at my brother and I’m like how many did you eat? He says, “three”. I asked, “What did you do with the rest? You didn’t throw it away did you?” My brother is like yeah 🤷🏻♂️ and looks at me confused like it’s whatever . I’m not exactly sure but I’m super annoyed by this. 😂 I asked my husband about it later and he said he told him they were for him as in that’s what was for dinner to eat. Not specifically just for him.
Let me just say I KNOW this is minor but it’s one of those things that I just found super annoying because he didn’t ask if anyone wanted the untouched sandwich and just threw it away. He is by nature an extremely wasteful person but he’ll be the first to complain about how little money he has (when he doesn’t). I can kind of see his thought process too but who doesn’t ask if anyone wants the extra sandwich before just throwing it out?
