Ceremony wording for unusual relationship?

Ideas for wedding ceremony wording when we have a weird relationship history?
I’d like the ceremony to include info about our relationship, focusing more on recent years but it’ll have to include how we met/got together. But I don’t know how to word it!
We met at 16 at sixth form, and were good friends on and off, but got together shortly after I broke up with my ex age 22. It was really close together but family/friends didn’t know about us for the first year!
Don’t want to drop myself in it - help!

I personally donk think a wedding ceremony is the place to disclose this. I would just focus on the fact that youve been friends through a lot of life's ups and downs and a marriages that come from a strong friendship are the most successful and youre so happy to have your bff beside you forever (Im sure you can word it better than I did!)

How it felt being friends throughout the years
How it felt getting together with no specific date

Why would this be mentioned at all? How we started dating wasn’t mentioned during my wedding ceremony or any I’ve been to.

I would just say you met at 16 and were friends for awhile, I wouldn’t put specifics into it, no one really needs to know that.

This isn't really an unusual relationship history - lots of people go back to their high school relationships. I'd rather just keep things sweet and simple. You can always make a reference to that whole "if you love someone let them go and if they come back it was meant to be" or whatever but that's as far as I'd go, personally.
