Is my bf jealous? Or was it really work related?

My boyfriend (Jason) is also my boss (DO NOT DO IT it’s not worth it). We’ve been together since March. There’s a guy (Sam) that he doesn’t like - Sam is a lazy worker, leaves early, only works 2 days, not the nicest person, talks a lot. Jason told me 2 stories where Sam was apparently creepy to women, but one of them was from a girl who likes to play victim for attention, so I was kinda iffy. But Jason hates him enough to the point that he said if I get too close to him, he’d be done with me. I’m still nice to him but I know Jason’s gotten mad at me for that before, because he thinks I’m “too nice”.

Yesterday, I was clocking in and Sam came up to clock in too. I just said hi and he was talking about something that happened the other day. Then Jason came up to us and started yelling at us to get to work, just going off on us a little. My Apple Watch started going off immediately with messages of him asking if I have a hidden relationship with Sam and said it was “so obvious”. A couple seconds later, Jason comes up and starts going “so what’s up? Are you with him?”. I just said he was ridiculous and told him he didn’t even let me explain. Then, in front of everyone, he starts yelling again, saying that it doesn’t matter and that I should’ve walked away and starts going off on me again. The other boss had him leave but he continued to go off in texts for like 2 hours.

He claims it’s because he felt we were taking advantage by being clocked in and talking. Then reminds me that he’s had issue with Sam before I even came and says he would even if I wasn’t there. But says he’ll be talking to his higher up about getting Sam out now too.
