What would you do?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 years. For the past two years, we have been saving money for a down payment on a house. We have saved $60,000 so far and we are finally ready to start house searching.

Last night my boyfriend told me that he would like to use all of our savings to go on a tour with his band. He told me that he expects his band to make a profit of over $60k so we could still buy our dream home, just at a later time. I basically told him absolutely not, I saved 50% of what we have (we both contributed equally), so if he wanted to take his $30,000 and go on tour he was free to do so, but that I would not be waiting on him because I want to get my life started.

My boyfriend was extremely hurt and accused me of not believing in him or his music (he is a guitar player). I told him it seems like we want different things from life and I’m ready to settle down and start a family (we are 25).
