Was this an appropriate response?
I just had a childhood memory pop up. My elementary school would host a movie night once a year. I never usually went since my school was far from home but there was one year where I really wanted to go. I had made good friends so I felt comfortable going. The night before, I was watching tv when my mother told me it was time for me to take a bath. I don’t remember how many times she told me to go take a bath but I remember her coming up to me, not yelling but talking through her teeth and told me that since I didn’t want to listen, I wouldn’t be going to movie night, and then tore the ticket in my face. She then gave me the silent treatment for the rest of the night and then on the way to school the next day… I was in the third grade…
Am I tripping? Or was that an over the top response?
