Non existent parents

Anyone else feel like you're parents are not there for you. I was out shopping today and my own mother walked straight past my husband, son and I not a word, look or any acknowledgement  I was there. I said hello she just ignored me. My dad lives far from me and never bothers to contact me either. They're both shockingly shit parents and grandparents. They've both not been around much whilst my siblings and I were growing up they were too busy finding people to shag. I got sunstroke one summer because my father was chatting up someone and moved far away for her chose some woman over his own kids. My mother brought an abusive wife beater into our home. If it wasn't for my grandparents I don't know where I'd be. Feel like as a parent they should have been there more for their kids when you lie down and make a child they are suppose to be brought into the world and be surrounded by love and two people that would do anything for the kid/s. I just hope to give my kids better than the sham I was given.
