Conceiving after miscarriage

My doctor suggested to wait two or three cycles "if we could" but I've read that you're most fertile after a MC. I'm about to be in my fertile window and I'm wondering if anyone was able to conceive right after miscarrying? We really don't want to wait and we don't want to miss out if it really is a very fertile time. We are really looking for a light at the end of this tunnel. Thanks in advance!
