This fertility center is a well-oiled machine, but amazingly, it doesn't feel that way. The nurses are extremely friendly and warm and the doctors are very knowledgeable and informative. Wait time would vary depending on what time you showed up for your bloodwork/ultrasounds, but was never more than 20-30 minutes (they have a 7-9 am daily window with no appointments - people who show up on the early end are typically taken in immediately and those who sleep in generally have to wait a bit longer). The only exception with slightly longer wait times was for appointments with your primary doctor or for procedures, but again, nothing too far outside the window for what is typical at busy doctors' offices. One thing to note is that although you will have a primary doctor, you will see whoever is at the clinic that day for most standard check-in appointments. I saw my own doctor at the start, at key progression points, and after I was confirmed to be pregnant. I did have direct access to her for questions if needed through her assistant, who would schedule times to us to speak when needed. But otherwise, they have a very competent switchboard which would relay messages to the doctors and nursing staff. All messages are returned same day. Overall, I always felt I was in wonderful hands and had a great experience and would definitely recommend it to friends.

I had a great experience at NYU fertility center. I just had my first fertility treatment there and am very fortunate it worked and am currently now 5 weeks along! I switched to NYU from Weill Cornell as I had a very negative experience with the doctor and nursing staff there (lack of follow up and pro activity, not reading my results properly when I had elevated levels, difficult to get on the phone), and I am so happy I went with NYU. I saw Dr. Goldman who is unbelievably awesome - she has such an excellent bedside manner and right away made me feel at ease. Anyone who has been on the fertility journey will know how important this is. She was always available to meet or talk on the phone even if it was just to review some results and I saw her multiple times throughout the process. I went in for an IUI as my first treatment and found the nursing staff at both locations super friendly and overall excellent. Yes, it’s a high volume place so it can be a bit overwhelming at first but I always felt I was getting individualized attention from my doctor and the fertility nurses, and all of them were super sweet and responsive. I never had to wait a long time for anyone to call with results or even to call back after leaving a message. All of this went a very long way to helping take out stress from what can be a very stressful process. Can’t recommend NYU or Dr. Goldman enough!

The doctors and nurses were very knowledgeable. It's very evident this hospital is among the best of the best for fertility. The experience itself was not very personal. It is a bit of a factory setting. However, the priority is having a successful pregnancy, which I did my first round

They were quick to get me in and work around my schedule to start treatment. I like that the nurses call you with results and will answer questions right then.

NYU in general has become very efficient at time management. There was never more than an 10 minute wait at every visit. I never felt rushed either. They are just efficient, without losing that friendly, personal touch.

It's run like a machine. Not a lot of individual care or people asking if you have questions or concerns or how you're feeling. You have to know what to ask and be a bit pushy in getting someone's time to answer you. There are a few REALLY great nurses and a PA who is very friendly who made all the difference.

I was referred to NYU fertility center by my GYN because I was dealing with multiple factors that were leading to my inability to conceive. I have been seeing Dr. Noyes and she has been a lifesaver (literally). She discovered that I needed a laparoscopy/hysteroscopy that have worked wonders for my endometriosis. She gave me lots of suggestions that have allowed me to manage my PCOS. I am now preparing to start IUI and everyone, from the nurses, assistants, billing, and all others, have been beyond accommodating. They return all calls and keep you up to date throughout the entire process. The wait time is never too long (and they work with large volumes of patients on a day to day basis). Overall I think this has been a great experience during one of the most difficult times of my life and now I'm just hoping my baby comes out of all of this. I'd recommend this center to anyone looking to conceive.

NYUFC was slightly more expensive than another clinic we looked at, but comperable to fertility clinics at other large hospitals in NYC. Our insurance did not cover fertility treatment, so cost was a large factor for us, but NYUFC was worth every penny. They treat A LOT of patients at the clinic, and I heard it referred to as an "IVF factory" but I actually appreciated this fact- they are used to managing high volumes of patients so you are rarely left waiting for a long period of time, you can always reach a nurse / doctor when you have questions, and the doctors and nurses have tons of experience because they treat lots of patients. I also love the fact that they are research leaders in the field.
