We showed up for our appointment 15 minutes early, we almost ended up walking out. We weren’t brought back until 58 mins after our appointment time. A huge red flag that I should have heeded. Once we were finally brought back, we went through the results of all the previous doctors (OBGYN and an urologist) and told her that my fertility was fine. I’ve had ultrasounds and testing done to make sure I’m sound and capable of producing. That really the reason we were seeking out an expert was due to my husbands poor semen analysis results. She recommended is to a male specialist (The only saving grace of this appointment). But immediately discredited my OBGYN’s results because I’m considered obese and thus must have PCOS. I explained that I was tested several times for it and that I showed non of the signs and indications for it. I’m also not diabetic. I’m just fat. If there were such a term “healthy fat”. She pushed throughout the 2hours we were there for me to be put on some highly experimental weight loss shot, insisting that would help the odds of us getting pregnant. (Again our fertility problems were due to my husbands lack of sperm... I’m not sure how me being skinnier would have helped that issue.) She insisted on doing another ultrasound. Which came up with no abnormalities and which she even commented “was a perfect uterus”. Even after the ultrasound she pushed to run the script for the weight loss shot through my insurance—who thankfully denied it. She did not respect our time, and she tried to bully me into a weight loss drug I didn’t need. She might be a good doctor, but her bedside manner was lacking. I would drive 3+ hours to Indy for another doctor before I’d ever go to her again. Save your money and find someone who will support and respect you throughout this process.

I love Dr. Thie and her staff is wonderful. I started seeing her 9 years ago when an on/gun suggested that I have PCOS (she refused to do any testing). For the 15 years before that I would see lots of doctors with my symptoms. They refused to connect the symptoms and only wanted to treat my sporadic at best period with the pill. the pill scared me as my grandma died of a brain aneurysm when she was eight months pregnant. if you even suggest that I was crazy. Jennifer is great she listened she tested, and after diagnosis we made a plan together. (oh and by the way all those doctors who wanted me on the pill could have killed me I do have clotting problems.) anyway I have a two year old boy now and we were trying (unsuccessfully) so I started seeing her again for fertility treatments. be prepared though, if your partner is with you Jennifer is very focused on you the patient. my so didn't like her a first, but now he loves her, he sees that her primary concern is me, my overall health and making sure we were doing what we could without jeopardizing my health.

She spends time with you and asks a lot of questions. She makes sure you feel comfortable with the plan she makes and wont waste your time doing things that she doesnt think will work.
