What age did your baby go into a cot?

I'm thinking of a next to me crib but i really don't know I'm hearing different things

I have a next to me cot with a sleepy head pod in it. Was intending for her to sleep in this until 6 months but she's such a noisy sleeper that we might put her in her cot in her own room a bit sooner than this

I think the type you’re thinking of are usually suitable up to about 6 months. Alternatively you get a cot bed where you can have a newborn in that in your room for the 6 months necessary and then either continue with them in your room or move them into their own room in the cot bed after 6 months. The advantage of the latter is that you only have to buy 1 item but they will take up more space in your bedroom for the first 6 months so you may decide to buy something smaller for then. Its just personal preference and budget really :) x

I used the next to you crib from birth until 7 month, then put my daughter into her own room in her cot. I really recommend the next to you crib, especially if your breast feeding it was a dream. Also my daughter had no problem transitioning to her cot afterwards. We sold ours thinking we were done after number 2 but pregnant again and getting the next to you magic at end of month.

We used the next2me until 8 weeks then put her in her cot. It's at great nannys now to be used as a travel cot if/when she stays there.

First month my daughter was in a mosses basket as I was rather tender down below after birth and it was easier to put her in it climb in bed then pull it right next to me.
After I healed enough, I put her in the next2me me crib and she's been in there since. She's almost 6 months now and it's starting to get a bit small so I'm hoping to put her in her cot bed tonight.
Also I used the mosses basket down stairs in the day time and she out grew it by 2/3 months.
I highly recommend the next2me it lasts way longer than a mosses basket and as the side comes down it's easy to get her in and out for night feeds.

My six month old is in a next to me, it’s really useful and convenient.
I plan to try moving her into a cot in her own room in a few weeks...she still wakes about three/four times a night though so it’s easier to have her right next to me so I don’t really fully wake up
