IBS cramps or labour pain?

How do I tell the difference? My IBS cramps come in painful waves that are intensely painful before going away for a short period. I am experiencing this pain right now, but I can't seem to tell if my stomach is tightening with the cramps or if it's coincidental. At what point do I decide it's labour pain and not IBS? Anyone else experienced IBS pain and labour pain have any advice?

Same as above for me. IBS cramps are very high and seem to track across my belly side to side following my intestines.

Yes, me. When I had my first child I went through this. Contractions for me felt completely different from the cramping of IBS. Contractions would start from my lower stomach and begin tightening all the way up like a wave. It would hold that tightness and then release. The worse they got I would feel that tightness wrap around my back and like a pressure feeling in my vagina. IBS was cramping more so in my upper stomach.
