Too early to test?

I had this trouble last year in November when I had some pregnancy symptoms and light spotting before my period was due.. I had a faint line then a couple days later it was negative😕 but now I'm a day late and getting the same symptoms and I've been spotting brown blood this time.

Is it too early to take a test? I don't really want to get my hopes up again😅
