Hi has anyone experienced an infected umbilical cord ? My little one is 4 days old . Today is like a different baby has not stopped screaming /crying all day long !!!! Only time she doesn’t cry is when she’s just been fed and drifts off but once she wakes again she goes crazy ! I’ve noticed her umbilical cord is oozing a bit and smells horrific , I have been onto doc and got an antibiotic but I’m wondering would this affect her to the extreme she is screaming as if in pain ? I originally thought it was belly ache or wind untill I noticed the cord and phoned ASAP .
