Preterm contractions help?

So I went to the Er a few days ago having pain ended up there for the entire day and was sent home and diagnosed 1cm dilated and having preterm contractions they said to stay hydrated and nothing else really helpful I'm still having pains and I have 6 weeks to go until my due date does any one have any thoughts or information on this?

Just take it easy. Don't have sex, walk to much, or strain at all. I had preterm labor at 31 weeks and we are almost 34 weeks (on Tuesday). If I walk too much or if I'm in the car for too long then I start getting achey. We did some baby shopping today and I over did it. Your body will tell you when enough is enough.

Thank you both guys I really appreciate the feedback and I will definitely keep you posted this is my first baby he's 4.10pounds right now so I'm hoping to at least make it a little longer 😊

I had the same thing with my daughter she was born 6 weeks early at 4lbs I'll be 32 weeks Tuesday and I have had contractions all week, pain, achy, pink discharge today. Hoping I can get to 35 weeks at least with this baby. Doctors tomorrow so hopefully not dilated at all. Def relax feet elevated if possible so it keeps the pressure off. It's hard but stick a pillow unde your knees!! Good luck keep us posted!!!

I'm in similar boat at 31 weeks but not dilated.  Seeing the doctor in 2 days.  I know my job is the problem but really want to finish my last 4 weeks of work!    It's so hard to tell what all the feelings in stomach are!
