How do you feel about cursing at your child?

I don't mean calling them out of the name you gave them but would you ever say "Sit your a** down!" or "Bring your little a** here." Stuff like that.

I swear a lot and I know I've sworn while saying something to my child especially when my last nerve is being tested, but I would never call my child a swear name such as bitch, etc. it's demeaning. As far as just swearing in general, like a random "fucking" or "ass" isn't as bad as it seems. And my daughter doesn't repeat me and knows she can't use these words. We explain that they aren't acceptable words for children to use.

I curse frequently so, "little ass" ends up there if he thinks it's play time and it's not. (I do calmly explain "no sir not right now" or something) But on my craziest days where my patience is thin it slips. I don't say "fuck, shit, bitch," or call him curse names as I've heard said to other children. I'm southern and I've heard old school women tell me my I better get my ass in gear. Or your ass I walking on a fine line. I guess you can say I never thought to much of it.

Telling a kid "Shut up you're such annoying little bitch" is far worse. I've seen that and she just looked so defeated she had to be all of 8.

One lady told her kid he was being an asshole, he was 2. It's definitely levels to it

Never. I would never curse at my children. I consider that verbal abuse, to be honest.

I've done it. I've only ever used the word ass. "Sit your ass down" "get your ass over here right now". Ass is just another word for butt. My son knows I mean business when I say it. I only say it as a last resort.

My mother cursed around me when I was younger. She never cursed AT me though. I'm almost 21 and I still rarely curse! I don't have children yet, but I'm sure they will be exposed to the words at a young age and they will learn not to say them, just like I learned. But I don't think I'd never curse at them, that doesn't seem right to me.

Depends on what your saying. If your cursing your children out then no. I really don't see "ass" as a curse word though
