Do any of your SOs do something you find really really cute, but at the same time can get grating really fast?

Mine is this:

My fiancée is a big gamer, like all he does in his personal time is game/watch streams/research his games. He wants to maybe one day go into game development. So needless to say it is his passion. And I find it soooooo cute to see his eyes light up when he talks about his games, and he isn't one for making hand gestures when he talks but he does when talking about games. And he does these cute little reenactments that just make me giggle.

However, I, am not a big gamer. I play extremely casually and typically only do it to spend time with him. I just don't care for games. So while it is so cute and special to see him light up when he talks about games, sometimes it just wears at me. Like it is fine when he is talking generally, but when he gets into the nitty-gritty details I just feel my eyes glaze over and wanna sigh and tell him to hurry it up because he can LITERALLY talk for days about games. Hell, if I never changed the subject or him realize he is starting to bore me, he would probably NEVER stop talking about games!

So many times I just wanna stop him and go "I love you, but shut the hell up" 😂 Like I love him to pieces and know it is his passion and would never take away from that, but I'm just not that interested in it!

And I feel bad because he doesn't have many gamer friends so he doesn't feel like he has anyone to talk to, so I have gotten a lot better about it and have tried to learn some of it. Sometimes I just get tired of hearing it and don't even understand half of it. Sometimes I wanna tell him to just start a blog to let it all out!

I have some things he feels similar about though ❤ All about being in an adult relationship! You don't always have to have the same interests!
