So i peeked at my induction papers that were given to me in an envelope to bring to the hospital with me. I read on there that instead of pitocin im getting induced by cytotec. Well i looked it up online ( because ive never heard of it before) and seen that its not FDA approved for induction but it is for getting rid of stomach ulcers?... Weird. Although its not FDA approved for induction the doctors that do apparently use it say it works great and fast. Im still apprehensive about it because i had never heard of it and feel like i never would have if i wasnt nosey. Has anyone ever heard of it or even used it to be induced before? Please comment what you know about it!
