uncircumcised boyfriend

My boyfriend is the first guy I've been with who is uncircumcised, and we don't use condoms. Sometimes his penis smell when the skin is pulled back. Now I've never had Y.I or U.T.I before him. EVER. All of a sudden I got one and it came back twice. We've both been thoroughly checked. But I really think that he's the cause because that smell he has sometimes is the same smell that occurs when I catch a uti. I'm thinking the bacteria that forms under his foreskin is the cause of my uti.
