I kiss my gay best friends right in front of my husband. And when he hugs them they kiss on the cheek. My ex is Italian and so is his whole family and when we're at events together (my mom works for his family) I kiss him and his brother and his mother and his father and grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins. In MOST cultures it's a greeting.

I have a gay guy friend and I would never think of kissing him!   He's a friend of my husbands and I and I'm pretty sure it would be just like kissing any guy friend that's not your SO.
