Anyone had a balloon catheter induction?

Looks like this is the the only way my doc will induce me for a vbac..would be interested to hear if anyone has had this before?

Yep I had it with my first. Smart idea I think! I was also started on pitocin at 3-4cm's and had a total of 8 hrs in labor.

I had a friend going for vbac and Foley catheter (what youre describing) didn't work for her. She ended up doing castor oil on her own and that did put her into labor...I'm not willing to do castor oil, but I'm also not a vbac so I have more options. Will say a prayer that you don't go over ❤

Had it with baby # 1 it is extremely uncomfortable getting it put in but after about 6 hours it fell out and the broke my water and started me on pitocin. I was in labor for 19 hours total from the time my contractions started until i had my son but it was effective.

I had all the different types of inductions with my last baby. The catheter was by far the easiest on me. Its uncomfortable but no pain it was also the only way to really dilate me. 
All they do is put it in and fill the balloon to whatever centimeters they want for me it was 3 and then it falls out once your dilated to 3.
I slept through it once my nap was done it fell out!

I had one with my first. I was a day after my due date and not dilated at all and my fluids were low. It worked! It's just a long process.

I've had several clients get the foley bulb induction. I've heard that putting it in can be a little uncomfortable but once it's in it isn't too bad. Then it either falls out or the remove it and you'll be around 3cm dialated. 
It's smart that they'll only induce with the bulb. Pitocin induction causes stronger contractions which a VBAC uterus may not be able to handle

Yes I have after trying for four days to get me into labour.

Putting this in is quite uncomfortable, and it stays there for a night. The next morning this was removed and I had dilated  and they broke my waters.
