FWB?!

Okay so recently my boyfriend broke up with me and he was toxic and controlling and shit so it's not a big deal for me to move on. So I started talking to this guy and we talk EVERY day and last weekend I went to his place and we hooked up. I asked him what's going on with us and he said he's not sure yet but I do like him so far. I'm 18 and fwb has never really worked out for me just because I'm not wired like that so I guess I just need advice on how to cool off my feelings so that he and I are on the same page. I feel he might like me, at least a little. Just because we do talke EVERY DAY and he calls me babe and hun randomly, not just when trying to get me to come over or send nudes or something.
