anniversaries

So next month on the 17th will be my 1 year anniversary with my bf, except we haven't technically been dating for an entire year. We broke up and weren't together for a good two months at least. So technically we've only been together for 10 months, is it weird or wrong to count it as our 1 year? Or does it even matter? I dunno I just kind of find it weird some times to think of it like that…
