I messed up. What do I do?

So a male friend I have (who I kinda knew liked me) and I recently kissed at my other friend's party. Now this wouldn't be so bad except for the part where I'm moving this summer and I knew that so that's why I was avoiding starting something up but we got caught in the momment and it happened. He said it's fine and I don't have to decide what I want to do right now and that he still wants to make it work. But I feel like if we become closer it will just hurt more when I have to leave. I just don't know what to do and would like some advice
