can being sick/ takin meds throw off your period

My period is due tomorrow. My period are irregular. Last month it came three days early. I'm not on birth control but my bf and I use condoms and doesn't cum in me. I still get very nervous before my period, and I take a pregnancy test 5 days before my period comes. I took one yesterday it came out negative. For the last few weeks I've had a very bad cough and cold. I've been back and forth on NyQuil, DayQuil, and I've started taking mucinex. Could my illness and the meds I've been taking affect my period?
