My boyfriend is so jealous and over the male character's I draw, why?

So. I'm an artist, I draw a lot of guys sometimes and when I do I like to show my love because he's usually supportive. But now I've noticed he gets jealous over the male characters I drawing saying that's what type of guy I want and I should go find him. He gets EXTREMELY upset when I draw Loki from the animated series of The Avengers. It hurts my feelings because I love him so much and I hate how a cartoon character can get in between us. u.u He always says sorry when he calms down from his little tantrum but I don't take them seriously anymore because he keeps doing this.
