is calling someone "girl" transphobic ?
i had this huge argument with my friend and now we're both looking at each other differently . she recently started dating a trans boy and we were all at her house meeting each other for the first time . the trans boy (el) said something absolutely hilarious and i was literally on the floor in fits . after the laughter died down i wiped the tears from my eyes and i was like "whew , gurrlllll !" and at the time i didn't realize that he had taken offense to that part . but the rest of the evening continued without any problems . next day , D (friend) told me that el never wants to hang out with me ever again because i'm transphobic and i purposely misgendered him . at first , i didn't even know what she was taking until she reminded me of the "whew girl" after el told us the story . and D got mad at me for making him upset and also angry bc i was defending myself . and i was like , are you serious rn ? i'll apologize if it made him uncomfortable but calling me a transphobe is way out of line and D said that i am transphobic . i included that picture bc i don't know if anyone's seen that video but it's basically a video of all the ways girl can be used . thoughts and opinions ?
