Depends on what you're using it for. Most waterbased lubes work great for vaginal penetration, though people have their preferences. (KY is usually only good enough for basic medical procedures, and not a great choice for sexual activities, unless you have no other options)
I've found that silicone based lubes are wonderful for anal penetration, but be aware that they don't play well with latex condoms or most sex toys. 
Other options include things like olive oil (amazing for anal, omg) and coconut oil (a little goes a long way and great for vaginal). Though I advise thorough clean up in all cases regardless of what you use. Coconut oil is really good and healthy, and usually won't disturb the vaginal chemistry too much, but it's never a good idea to take that chance in my opinion. Oh & ive heard that Maximus by liquid silk is best for anal, its engineered to not spread any bacteria, its glycerin free, AND its latex safe. Im so excited to try it lol
