Zoloft anyone?

Hi all. So I've always been a worrisome person and a bit of a hypochondriac. I have Zoloft, 50mg, haven't started yet, have to finish this antibiotic. My doc wants me to take half a tablet for a week then go to a whole one. Anyone else on here who takes Zoloft? Would love to know how it's worked for you so far!

I take Zoloft to help curb my PTSD, and to be honest, I can't go more than 3 days without taking it or my mental health goes straight down the crapper. Being on Zoloft helps me immensely, and I don't think I'd be around without it.

zoloft helped me with ocd depression and anxiety. especially the fear of sickness. i was on for a few years. my issue was that I couldn't orgasm and I felt like a zombie. i swear a car could have driven through my home and my reaction would be 😑 dang! to everyone else's 😮😩 omg!!!! my goal when I got on it was to seek therapy to get off and be able to manage my own mind and my own life. everyone is different but that was MY goal. After tons of prayer and therapy I was able to pinpoint the cause of all of my issues which was shame and molestation at age 6, abuse in my home growing up and rape at age 19. i feared just about everything. with prayer and therapy Ive been free from zoloft for almost 3 years now. i still deal w some issues. but when I feel a panic coming on or notice Ive been closing myself inside I take control. i take complete control. ive met my goal of freedom as I felt like other ppls choices in my life controlled my emotions just abt my entire life. i wanted to control my own emotions not zoloft controlling it for me. its been a long journey. i hope everyone finds balance with or eventually wothout zoloft. ✌queens

I have panic disorder and depression so my dr. prescribed me zoloft. The first time i took it i had terrible brain fog. i felt like a zombie and had more panic attacks than i had before taking it. it also caused insomia so i found it was best to take it literally right before i fell asleep. every person is different. good luck!

It's my second time taking Zoloft. I took it in my 19th year for depression and anxiety, and now 14 years later for PPA. So far this time around is better. I'm in a better place but needed something for my obsessive anxiety from postpartum.  I started on a low dose and honestly could take more, but I don't want to erase the anxiety, just subdue it. It helps keep me level and in a way just not caring enough to let the anxiety influence me. It makes me extremely sleepy, 30 mins after taking it, which is great as I really need the heavy sleep that follows. Make sure to take it before bed. Also eat something with it. I forgot one night and had heart burn that made me vomit. Now I've made some light bran muffins to eat at night so I'm not loading up on a full meal but have enough to weigh down the meds. It also makes your skin more sensitive to the sun. I've never had a sunburn till 5his year. Now I put lotion on for everything includi g the corner store. I've spoken to three professionals before taking Zoloft and it really is most recommended, especially for breastfeeding mother's as a lot of research has been done. Also it's one of the antidepressants that have low chance of causing weight gain. Hope this helps.

Zoloft worked amazingly for my anxiety!! It literally saved my life. It took a while to find my perfect dose but once I did I couldn't have been happier. I went off for my pregnancy (not necessary but I wanted to try) and I cannot wait to be able to go back on. I'm doing ok without it, but the difference in how I feel on and off is seriously noticeable. 
I had a few side effects at first (weird realistic dreams and night sweats) but they went away with time. 
Zoloft may or may not work for you, but don't get discouraged. Work with your doctor to find the right dose or right med for you. Hopefully it's the Zoloft and it's easy for you to adjust to. But no matter what, you deserve to be your best you. And Zoloft definitely helped me do that.

I took Zoloft for about 2 years ( I stopped while trying to conceive). 
Zoloft is life changing. I had depression, terrible anxiety, and a touch of OCD. I felt like a new, happy person when I was on Zoloft. The first week you might feel a little 'high', but once you regulate taking it you will feel good.

I have been on Zoloft over a year now for my OCD and crippling anxiety. I found my perfect dose is 150mg. when I went without it for a few days (messed up prescriptions that pharmacy needed clarification from my doctor for) I was having terrible panic attacks. it really is a life saver for some people. 
however, don't be upset if you need to increase the dosage, or if it doesn't work for you. work with your therapist and doctor closely and make sure you tell them how you feel in the medication and any symptoms you experience from it. they will work with you to find the best medication and dosage 🙂

THE BEST THING EVER!! I started taking Zoloft right when i got pregnant to control my mood swings and depression. I have never felt better in my life. I was always a irrational person and very impulsive. After taking Zoloft for 4 months iv never been better. The only down side i had with the medication were the first 3 weeks my appetite was extremely suppressed and i had to force myself to eat after those few weeks it was the best choice i ever made. For me tho i forgot to take them for a few day and i noticed a huge change in my mood. I was extremely on edge and was all over the mood spectrum! It never hurts to give it a try I would never stop taking them after the positive experience they have given me. I hope the same works for you!

Zoloft helped me for years with my debilitating OCD and depression but it ultimately made me manic to the point of doing crazy things (unable to control my emotions, manifested in breaking things, acting extremely impulsively, behaving very recklessly) it also enhanced my natural inclination towards eccentric thinking. That could be either good or bad. I have a love/hate relationship with it but I chose to quit taking it because of physical side effects (after developing a severe stomach infection I just can't tolerate it anymore)
