I need advice

Ive been with my boyfriend for a year and two months, he recently went on vacation with his parents to a resort. Coincidentally a girl from our school that I don't like is on the same resort, I don't him I didn't feel comfortable with him talking to her ( when he tells me he doesn't like a guy out of respect I stop taking to the person) and he basically told me it's my fault I'm jealous and I should get over it. A friend told me I should break up with him for not supporting and respecting my wishes but it's hard to throw a year away. What do I do?
